Wine Advocate Review The 2005 Korem is an unctuous, full-bodied wine that offers the essence of sweet blackberries, tar and smoke with superb purity and length. Despite its sweetness and silky, refined tannins there is plenty of structure underneath to provide for a minimum of several years of very fine drinking. A blend of 55% Bovale Sardo, 35% Carignano and 10% Cannonau, it spent 12 months in French oak. This is a terrific effort from Argiolas. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2015.
Wine Tasting Notes Intense, concentrated ruby red in color, Korem offers a full bouquet of black fruits, cedar, black currants, leather and chocolate. Warm and full-bodied on the palate, with excellent depth of flavor and firm tannins framing a juicy and dense texture. Recommended with roasted baby pork, braised ribs and lamb.
