Wine & Spirits Review
If you could squeeze juice from one of the galets that pave the 225 acres of vines surrounding La Nerthe, it might taste like this: dense and salty, with hints of the grasses and wildflowers that pop up here and there. It's not about fruit, though the sunny character of the acidity brings lemon to mind.
VinoUS Media Review
Deep ruby. Smoke-accented cherry and blackberry preserve aromas show very good clarity, and suggestions of licorice, vanilla and lavender add complexity. Lush and seamless in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet red and blue fruit and floral pastille flavors enlivened by a spicy jolt of cracked pepper. The blue fruit quality comes back strong on the persistent finish, which is framed by chewy, mounting tannins. (Josh Raynolds)
Wine Tasting Notes
Dark red, with a purple border. The nose is rich, pure, and complex, with notes of black fruits and sweet spices. On the palate, lots of roundness, with soft refined tannins. Finish is long, with notes of black cherry, black berry, and a silky texture. A feeling of youth and freshness emerges. A wine with great cellaring potential and with an impressive aromatic expression.
