Antiquum Farm Juel Willamette Pinot Noir Oregon 2017 Rated 92VM
- Calculated at Checkout
Deep, brilliant magenta. Fresh black raspberry and cherry on the nose, along with notes of candied flowers, musky earth and licorice. Chewy and incisive on the palate, offering bitter cherry and dark berry flavors that pick up a hint of baking spices and flesh out steadily on the back half. Shows excellent clarity and energy on a long, smoke- and floral-tinged finish that strongly echoes the cherry note. (Josh Raynolds)
Wine Tasting Notes
Power, Structure, and Finesse in perfect balance. Antiquum Farm is unusual in its ability to ripen lush fully mature deep dark fruit, and yet retain abundant natural acidity. This interplay creates an exciting tension that is rarely experienced. This vineyard produces mouth loads of fine-grained fruit-driven tannin. Generous treatments of french oak (40% in the Juel) never overwhelm the unique attributes of this site. A pinot unlike any other.
