Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Review Pale, bright color with a bit of yellow. Assertive, high-pitched aromas of squash and white pepper. Smooth and fine-grained, with good life in the mouth. Finishes clean and bright if a bit generic, with repeating flavor of squash. The Kizakura Brewery is located in the southern part of the Kyoto prefecture, the oldest sak brewing area in Japan.
Wine Tasting Notes Aromas of yellow grapefruit skin and a hint of ripe strawberry. On the palate, the flavors head toward apricot, tangy kiwi, and a touch of grapefruit rind. This light-medium bodied sake presents a unique combination of a dry, crisp sake that also has amazing complexity of flavor and umami-like persistence on the finish. Great balance too.
