The 2007 Afincado Malbec Single Vineyard ( planted in 1929) spent 18 months in new French oak. Purple-colored with an expressive bouquet of pain grille, pencil lead, exotic spices, lavender, black cherry, and black raspberry. Medium-bodied, elegant, and velvety-textured, this is a stylish Malbec with impeccable balance and the structure to evolve for several more years. It offers a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2022.

A polished, modern style, with creamy layers of mocha and spice covering almost exotically ripe plum and blackberry fruit. Long, plush finish pumps out more of the same.
