After the grapes are crushed, the wine benefits from a leisurely paced fermentation that allows the natural aromas, tannins, and color to reach a fierce intensity. Aging for eighteen months in american and french oak barrels helps round out the wines balance to make it velvety-smooth, richly flavored and intensely concentrated. The wine may be enjoyed now, but will gain more complexity from cellaring for a few years.
