The 2008 Unus is a blend of 70% Malbec and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 16 months in new French oak. Medium purple in color, it displays a splendid bouquet of spice box, incense, lavender, earth notes, black currant, and blackberry with a hint of balsamic in the background. Full-bodied in the mouth with dense, layered flavors and a plush palate feel, this lengthy offering will benefit from 2-3 years of additional bottle age. Drink it from 2012 to 2023.

Wine Tasting Notes
Incredible dark purple color. The aromas of dark cherries, plums and roasted cocoa come leaping out of the glass. This is a big but very suave wine with layers of ripe cherry and berry fruits, and the cocoa and vanilla flavors simply make this wines finish go on and on and on. There are loads of ripe, soft tannins, so this wine will certainly age beautifully for a decade or longer, but the temptation to drink it right away may be too much to resist. Serve with absolutely any red-wine friendly food and you will have a ball!
