San Francisco International Wine Competition 2015 Rated 96 BEST RHONE BLEND DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL
Wine Advocate Review Rated 93 Always a big, ripe and voluptuous wine, the 2012 Syrah The Big Easy is no exception. It is a blend of 62% Syrah, 30% Petite Sirah and 8% Grenache that saw 20 months in 48% new French and American oak. It's loaded with blockbuster notes of black and blue fruits, white chocolate, melted licorice and hints of vanilla bean. These give way to full-bodied, concentrated and ripe red that has surprising elegance, purity and focus that shows on the finish. It's packed with flavor and represents a great value at this quality.
Wine Tasting Notes The Big Easy pays homage to New Orleans, a culinary mecca and supporters of Fess Parker wines. Notes of blackberry, plum, smoked meat, acacia flower, vanilla, pepper and black cherry are found on the nose along with flavors of blueberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, black cherry, all spice & vanilla on the palate. Enjoy this meaty, well structured blend to a long lengthy finish with its dense chocolaty tannins.
