This is powerfully rendered, boasting dark fig, plum and blackberry fruit flavors spiked with sweet spice, licorice snap and mesquite notes. Rich and rounded in feel, but the cut is there, and this should cruise nicely in the cellar. From the Brechet family of Chateau de Vaudieu in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and a property fast on the rise. Best from 2012 through 2020.

Wine Tasting Notes
A deep ruby / purple color. A nose of dark berries, cassis, licorice, and garrigue violette. violet. On the palate, the structure is needed in silk gloves, with very fine tannins and a remarkable minerality.
