VinoUS Media Review
Rated 95
The flagship Cinq Cepages is terrific in 2014. Rich, ample and unctuous, the 2014 offers all the richness that is such a signature of this bottling, but with better integration of tannin and finer balance than I can remember seeing in some time. Blackberry jam, grilled herbs, smoke, menthol, lavender and sweet spice all meld together effortlessly. Opulent and dense on the palate, yet not at all overdone, the 2014 is fabulous. (Antonio Galloni)

James Suckling Review
Rated 95
Very linear and firm with super fine tannins. Full body, dark berry and chocolate. Rich and flavorful. Layered. Powerful and tight. Needs two or three years to come together. Better in 2020.

Wine Advocate Review
Rated 92
Composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon, with dollops of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot (hence the name), the 2014 Cinq Cepages Proprietary Red Wine has a deep garnet-purple color and nose of pure, crushed black currants and blackberries plus hints of garrigue, lavender, chocolate box and wild thyme. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firmly textured with a solid frame of chewy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and earthy.

Wine Tasting Notes
The 2014 Cinq Cepages opens with layers of aromas including black currant, cassis, delicate notes of perfumed violet, and savory tobacco leaves. Secondary aromas of roasted espresso, nuanced notes of Earl Gray tea, and sweet spices like cinnamon and clove add to the complexity. The palate finds rich, plush flavors of black raspberry and dark chocolate. This full-bodied wine has well-integrated, ripe tannins giving the wine a mouth-pleasing structure and layers of complexity. In signature Cinq Cepages form, this wine combines the diverse strength of Sonoma County to create an approachable, well-balanced and elegant wine that is very enjoyable now and can age for many years to come.

77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec
