Wine Advocate Review Rated 89 A rock-solid wine in the vintage, and one that stays beautifully drinkable, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is comprised of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre and 2% Cinsault, all of which was aged 12 months in 45% Stainless steel tanks and 55% in barrels. Offering up loads of spice, dried underbrush, garrigue and hints of saddle leather, with sweet red fruit, this up-front, perfumed and mid-weight effort is nicely balanced and will dish out plenty of pleasure over the coming 5-6 years. Drink now-2019.
Wine Tasting Notes This stylish wine shows robust flavors of dark cherry, crushed red berries and pepper with notes of chocolate and citrus peel on the nose, set in a ripe, integrated tannic structure and ending in a long, sweet finish.
