Wine Tasting Notes The harvest was unique because of warmer-than-normal conditions in the Napa Valley. Because of this, the Merlot berries coming out of the Triere Vineyard were even smaller and more concentrated than usual. Once at the winery, the grapes were rotary fermented to extract the best flavors and aromas, while maintaining the balance of tannins. The wine was aged in 100% French oak barrels.
