Wine Tasting Notes
Dark cherry and raspberry aromas are underpinned with spicy, peppery notes with hints of anise. Aragon Grenache displays extraordinary natural acid balance, even at elevated ripeness levels. I have selected wines, which convey vibrant, juicy fruit together with a very soft, sweet-fruited palate structure. Bitch Aragon Grenache is very approachable now, but don't be deceived into thinking that it won't age. I predict that the wine will develop further personality with 3 to 5 years in the cellar.

This ain't your Daddy's Grenache. In fact, it ain't merely a Grenache. It's Bitch. Bitch. Bitch. Bitch. "The Bitch is back." Bitch. "Beootch." Bitch. For some reason in 2005 I became obsessed with two things: Grenache and the word bitch. I'm not sure how exactly they came together, but suffice it to say that they did.

This isn't a wine. It's an experience. Bitch in. Bitch on. Bitch out. If you google the word bitch, you'll find hundreds of meanings and entries. The word bitch has meaning that goes way beyond dog or the derogatory. One of my favorites: B.I.T.C.H. - Babe in total control of herself.

This is a wine about pleasure. Subversive pleasure. Not everyone needs to approve in order for YOU to have pleasure.

Winemakers will tell you that Grenache is a bitch to grow. And, it's a bitch to make. It's a wine that can easily be vapid, but potentially as profound as wine gets.

Bitch Grenache Aragon 2009 from a selection of un-oaked Grenache wines from various sub-regions of Aragon and Navarra, around the Southern regions of the Ebro river valley.
