Wine Tasting Notes The Claret is a wine that derives its complexity from the blending of five grape varietals. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot make up 95% of the blend, giving the wine its Bordeaux back bone of tobacco, dark berry and cassis. While the Syrah and Petite Sirah give the wine an added dimension of spice, clove and white pepper. The end result is a wine that pairs well with a wide array of foods from grilled meats, roasted vegetables or pizza - or simply enjoy the wine with friends.
