Condensed and dark on the bouquet, with initial hard, cheesy aromas giving way to herbal berry scents that suggest thyme and rosemary. The palate is soft and chubby, with just enough structure to make the earthy, ripe berry flavors taste better than simply big and bulky. Finishes with a light espresso bitterness. Drink now through 2012.

Wine Tasting Notes
The wine has a deep ruby color and is viscous, but not syrupy. On the nose are scents of red raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry, oak, and spice. The mouth feel is very luscious with bursting blackberry and red raspberry on the front, followed by cocoa powder, but just before it gets bitter like cocoa powder does, the mild oak and supple tannins round out the wine.
