Wine Tasting Notes
There are aromas of cassis, black cherry, slight eucalyptus and cocoa along with earthy notes. In the glass there are refined flavors of black cherry, red fruits, cassis and toasty oak. The vintage is a blend of all five Bordeaux varietals. The Cabernet Sauvignon shows a bit more restraint than prior vintages. To balance that elegant restraint, Winemaker Kevin Hall added 7% Merlot for structure, as well as 1% each Malbec and Petite Verdot for color and 2% Cab Franc for a floral quality.
